DTC    B1697/82    Lost Communication with Door Side Airbag Sensor LH

DTC    B1698/82    Door Side Airbag Sensor LH Initialization Incomplete

DESCRIPTION

The circuit for the side collision sensor LH (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag LH and curtain shield airbag LH) is composed of the airbag sensor assembly, door side airbag sensor LH and No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly LH.
The door side airbag sensor LH and No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly LH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.
DTC B1697/82 and B1698/82 are recorded when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the side collision sensor LH (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag LH and curtain shield airbag LH).
