DTC B1695/16 Door Side Airbag Sensor LH Malfunction |
DESCRIPTION
The door side airbag sensor LH consists of the safing sensor, the diagnostic circuit, the lateral deceleration sensor, etc.If the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the lateral deceleration sensor, it determines whether the SRS should be activated.
DTC B1695/16 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the door side airbag sensor LH circuit.

Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Interchange the door side airbag sensor LH with door side airbag sensor RH and connect the connectors to them.
Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (Click here).
Turn the ignition switch off.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check for DTCs (Click here).
Result Result Proceed to DTC B1690/15 and B1695/16 are not output. A DTC B1695/16 is output. B DTC B1690/15 is output. C Text in Illustration *1 Door Side Airbag Sensor RH *2 No. 2 Side Airbag Sensor LH - HINT:
- DTCs other than B1690/15 and B1695/16 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Return the door side airbag sensor LH and door side airbag sensor RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
