The main body ECU detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the Techstream on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

  1. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

    OFF: Rear LH and RH side door is locked

    RL-Door Lock Pos SW
    Rear door LH and RH door unlock detection switch signal/ ON or OFF
    ON: Rear LH or RH side door is unlocked
    OFF: Rear LH and RH side door is locked

    Normal conditions listed above are displayed.

2.INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
  1. Inspect the front door lock assembly (Click here).

REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (Click here)

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
  1. Disconnect the G5 or F5 front door lock assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the D33 main body ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

4.INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
  1. Inspect the rear door lock assembly (Click here).

5.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)
  1. Disconnect the D33, 4E and 4S main body ECU connectors.

  1. Disconnect the I3 or H3 rear door lock assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
