Title: BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (for Vacuum Brake Booster): C1417; High
Power Supply Voltage Malfunction; 2016 MY Tacoma [08/2015 - ]
DTC C1417 High Power Supply Voltage Malfunction
If a malfunction is detected in the power supply circuit, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) stores this
DTC and the fail-safe function prohibits ABS operation.
This DTC is stored when the +BS terminal voltage deviates from the DTC detection condition due to a malfunction
in the power supply or charging circuit such as the battery or generator circuit, etc.
The DTC is canceled when the +BS terminal voltage returns to normal.
DETECTION ITEM DTC DETECTION CONDITION TROUBLE AREA
High Power Supply
Either of the following is detected:
The +BS terminal voltage is 17.4 V or
more for 0.8 seconds or more.
When voltage at terminal +BS is 17.4 V or
higher, power supply voltage of master
cylinder pressure sensor is cut for 0.2
seconds or more.
Skid control ECU
Wire harness or
ABS NO. 2 fuse
DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.
