1. INSPECT NO. 1 COOLING FAN MOTOR |
Disconnect the No. 1 fan motor connector.
Connect the battery and an ammeter to the No. 1 fan motor connector as shown the illustration.
Check that the No. 1 fan rotates smoothly, and then check the reading on the ammeter.
- Standard Current:
- 7.8 to 11.8 A at 20°C (68°F)
If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 cooling fan motor.Text in Illustration *1 Component without harness connected

Reconnect the No. 1 fan motor connector.
2. INSPECT NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR |
Disconnect the No. 2 fan motor connector.
Connect the battery and an ammeter to the No. 2 fan motor connector as shown the illustration.
Check that the No. 2 fan rotates smoothly, and then check the reading on the ammeter.
- Standard Current (for Manual Transaxle):
- 7.8 to 11.8 A at 20°C (68°F)
- Standard Current (for Automatic Transaxle):
- 10.6 to 16.6 A at 20°C (68°F)
If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 cooling fan motor.Text in Illustration *1 Component without harness connected

Reconnect the No. 2 fan motor connector.
