DESCRIPTION
DTC output mode is set by connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.The DTCs are displayed by blinking the SRS warning light.
- HINT:
- Make sure that DTC B1281 has not been output. If DTC B1281 has been output, refer to the multiplex communication system.
- When each warning light keeps blinking, a ground short in the wiring of terminal TC of the DLC3 or an internal ground short in each ECU is suspected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - ECM) |
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the A12 connector from the center airbag sensor.
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
- Standard resistance:
for 2AD-FHV, 2AD-FTV (for DPF), 2AD-FTV (for CCo) Tester Connection Specified Condition E16-13 (TC) - A12-26 (TC) Below 1 Ω for 1AZ-FE, for 2AZ-FE Tester Connection Specified Condition E16-13 (TC) - A12-27 (TC) Below 1 Ω
|
| ||||
OK | |
2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND) |
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Specified Condition E16-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
|
| ||||
OK | |
3.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TC OF DLC3) |
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Specified Condition E16-13 (TC) - Body ground 1 MΩ or higher
|
| ||||
OK | |
4.REPLACE ECM |
Replace the ECM.
Check the DTC of the ECM.
Result Result Proceed to DTC output mode is set (except center airbag sensor). A Normal system code is output. B DTC is output. C
