DESCRIPTION

The combination meter communicates with the ECM via the CAN communication line (CAN No. 1 Bus).

When either of the following conditions is detected:
  1. Vehicle speed 5 km/h (3.1 mph) or more and IG voltage 10.5 V or more
  2. No communication with ECM continues for 3 seconds or more (No communication to ECM and skid control ECU continues for 60 seconds or more)
  1. CAN communication system
  2. ECM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT
  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Clear the stored DTCs by entering the following menus on the Techstream: Body Electrical / Trouble Codes.

  1. Drive the vehicle at more than 5 km/h (3.1 mph) for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Stop the vehicle.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    HINT:
    If the CAN communication system DTC U0100 and another DTC are output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for the CAN communication system DTC U0100 first.
